Source text - English There was once a time when the rich and powerful were happy to let artists make art. Nowadays, it is not enough to be a patron of the arts – in fact, there are very few volunteers for this position. Art has never been such big business, and yet most collectors prefer to buy off the shelf, so to speak, rather than commissioning works especially tailored for themselves. Being a patron of the arts went out of fashion in the second half of the 20th century, except for a small number of corporate organizations. For rich individuals with a streak of creativity, the way to go was do-it-yourself. DIY art for non-professionals has always been around, but it is only the past few decades that it has really taken off. These days it is hard to find a celebrity who doesn’t at least tinker with tubes of paint. Failing that, they write.	Translation - Arabic كان هنالك وقت عندما سعد الغني و القوي بممارسة الفنانين للفن . لكن اليوم , لم يعد كافيا ان تكون راعيا للفن – في الحقيقة هنالك عدد قليل جدا من المتطوعين في هذا المنصب . لم يكن ابدا الفن في يوما من الايام مصدر عمل كبير , ولكن مع ذلك معظم المشترون يفضلون شراء السلع الجاهزة , اذا صح التعبير ,بدلا من تخصيص اعمال صنعت خصيصا لهم . منذ النصف الثاني للقرن العشرين أصبح رعي الفن مهنة غير دارجة ,بإستثناء قلة قليلة من الشركات . بينما القلة الغنية التي انعم عليها بنعمة الابتكار لم يكن هنالك سبيل لهم الا العمل اليدوي . إن فن الابتكار اليدوي هو عمل غير احترافي وجد منذ القدم , و لكن بات رائجا فقط في السنوات القليلة الماضية . اصبح من النادر الان ان تجد احد المشاهير الذين لا يعملون في هذا المجال او إن فشلوا التفتوا الى الكتابة .
