Translation - English 2. Do we have a clear vision of market segmentation and the main origins of our clients?
a. Concerning market segmentation:
Like the traditional hotel industry, extended-stay residences cover all segments from ‘budget’ to ‘luxury’, with each category varying in size according to the country.
Within each market segment, several types of hotel-related services are offered, and the ‘minimum stay’ may also vary.
New products are also being successfully developed, such as ‘suburban resorts with houses all furnished for renting’.
The average length of stay depends on the type of establishment, the category, the services offered and the type of businesses in the area. For example, budget residences or ‘suburban resorts’ are frequented more by long-term clients who contribute less financially, as opposed to 4-star residences, where a significant proportion of clients (20% to 30%) stay only for the night.
