Care is needed here! From the small amount of context give, it looks as if these 'joints' are in fact mechanical 'joins' in the busbars, which would otherwise be too long for shipping.
Hence you may need to be wary of the ambiguity of the FR term 'joint', which can also mean a 'seal' or 'gasket' (which I'm firmly convinced this is NOT!)
As for 'shipping', I think you'll find the usual term is 'transport' — lots of domestic equipment is supplied with 'vis de transport' that you have to be sure to remove before use. |
