Hi,

I read an interesting article in the Wall St. Journal today about pros and cons of medical doctors providing (paying for) interpreters for non-English speaking patients in the US. Although you have to be a paying member to view the article on-line, there is an interesting thread to read with comments from many on their \"Question of the Day\" page. I read an interesting article in the Wall St. Journal today about pros and cons of medical doctors providing (paying for) interpreters for non-English speaking patients in the US. Although you have to be a paying member to view the article on-line, there is an interesting thread to read with comments from many on their \"Question of the Day\" page. It might be interesting to have some language professionals provide their input into the discussion. Most responses seem to be about the cost and not about the communication issue!
