Hi,
I read an interesting article in the Wall St. Journal today about pros and cons of medical doctors providing (paying for) interpreters for non-English speaking patients in the US. Although you have to be a paying member to view the article on-line, there is an interesting thread to read with comments from many on their \"Question of the Day\" page.
