Speaking of rush translations, I would like to share a recent experience. Yesterday, a very good and long-standing client contacted me asking for a quotation. The final client needed a rush translation of 2 contracts (18,500 words in total) in 1 or 2 days. After I finished laughing, I decided to make the quotation, as it was a very good client, and although long, the work was super easy. I think it was a bargain, considering that I would have to eat can soup and sleep only 4 hours a day for 3 days, and would not be able to prepare properly for Christmas next week.
