Hi fellows,

I have this perplexing issue regarding word count in .docx file.

The Word Count in my laptop shows more than 13,000 words, but the client later sent me another file allegedly the same as the one I've been working on and it shows only 10,000 words. Normally I'd ignore small differences, but this time the gap is too wide to ignore. I wonder if any one here can enlighten me about that?

Note: The 2nd file she sent me was .doc file.

Have you tried getting Word to compare the two files to see if they are really the same?

I Compared the two documents and one of them contains extra paragraphs.

The question was silly, I should have done it in the first place.
