A friend’s daughter wishing to specialise as a medical translator has asked me to recommend any dictionaries, databases, glossaries, stale manuals etc that I normally use in medical translation and revision/proofing projects. However, although I do have a bash at it from time to time, medical translation is not my speciality and I don't have any specific dictionaries etc for the medical area. I agree that Google and Pubmed are very useful. I also recommend using monolingual medical dictionaries. I don't do Spanish, but for English ones I suggest joining a UK library that subscribes to Credo reference. It includes a great collection of medical dictionaries that you can access from anywhere through your library.
