这绝不是天方夜谭！至今你仍可在网上搜到这种译文。例如：
“眼睛接触： 立即用流动清水冲洗至少15分钟，就义。”

众所周知，当你用中文输入软件在键盘上打汉语拼音 jiuyi 时，提示栏上就会出现“就义”、“就医”、“就已”、“九亿”、“酒意”或“久矣”等同音词组。若稍一马虎就可能选错词组，闹出笑话。为何某些人会如此马虎？我估计就是“¥80-120元/千字”、“日译万字”惹的祸！即使一时疏忽选错词组，最终在自己的 proofreading 过程中，总该发现这种错误吧？但某些人为了“日译万字”，哪还有这时间和精力去仔细审核？

一般认为，正常的翻译速度是每小时平均500字（相当于约300 English words）。若以 $0.15/word 计，则每小时报酬应为$45.00 USD。若以“¥80元/千字”计，则只能得“¥40元”，连买瓶星巴克咖啡都不够！
