3.3.3 Spatial Filter (Optional)

A spatial filter assembly is offered as an option to achieve the TEMoo or low-order transverse mode of the laser beam. The filter is threaded into the mounting assembly and can be adjusted independently in either the horizontal or vertical direction to achieve the desired mode.

3.3.4 Safety Shutter

A rotary solenoid actuated safety shutter is mounted in the resonator cavity between the laser heads and mirrors. The solenoid is mounted inside a housing, which has ports in the front and rear through which the laser beam must pass to reach the mirrors. An arm, permanently attached to the solenoid, is positioned so that the openings in the housing are covered when the shutter is closed. With the shutter closed, lasing cannot occur. The safety shutter is operated by the touch screen control pad.

3.3.5 High-Speed Intracavity Shutter (Optional)

For some applications, the 50-ms response time of the standard shutter may be too slow. Some processes that require highly precise energy delivery may not be adequately controlled.
For these and other applications, Lee Laser offers the optional High-Speed Shutter that has a far superior response time. The High-Speed Shutter consists of a galvanometer driven fork which in its rest position will block the beam path to prevent laser emission. When activated, the fork rotates to allow the beam to pass between the blades.

3.3.3. Filtro Espacial (Opcional)

É oferecido como opção um módulo com um filtro espacial para alcançar o modo TEMoo ou transverso de baixa – ordem do feixe laser. O filtro encontra-se roscado na estrutura de montagem e pode ser ajustado independentemente nas direções horizontal e vertical para se obter o modo desejado.

3.3.4. Obturador de Segurança

Na cavidade do ressonador, entre a cabeça do laser e os espelhos, encontra-se montado um obturador de segurança actuado por um solenóide rotatório. O solenóide está montado no interior de um compartimento que tem portas à frente e atrás, através das quais o feixe laser tem que passar para atingir os espelhos. Um braço, permanentemente preso ao solenóide, encontra-se posicionado de modo a que as aberturas do compartimento fiquem cobertas quando o obturador está fechado. O laser não pode ser utilizado com o obturador fechado. O obturador de segurança é operado pelo ecrã touch-screen de controlo.

3.3.5. Obturador Intra-cavidade de Alta – Velocidade (Opcional)

O tempo de resposta de 50 ms do obturador de base pode ser demasiado lento para algumas aplicações. Alguns processos, que requerem o fornecimento altamente preciso de energia, podem não ser adequadamente controlados.

Para estas e outras aplicações, a Lee Laser oferece opcionalmente o Obturador de Alta – Velocidade que tem um tempo de resposta consideravelmente superior. O Obturador de Alta – Velocidade consiste num garfo movido por galvanómetro, que na posição de repouso irá bloquear o caminho do feixe para evitar a emissão laser. Quando ativado, o garfo roda para permitir que o feixe passe entre as lâminas.

Bio

I am a native Portuguese translator, with a PhD in Physics, and I am doing translation of technical documents and user manuals since 2008 for the following language pairs:

from English/ German to Portuguese

I have a PhD in Physics and after working for around 6 years as a researcher at a renowned European research institute (CERN, in Switzerland) I have decided to combine my technical/scientific background with my languages knowledge. What at first was only an additional occupation turned out to become, after a while, my main professional activity. I have realized that through the translation of technical documents I can still be in touch with technological developments and research and combine these with my passion for languages. Later on, while already living in Germany (since 2005) I have decided to go back to school to learn German and in 2011 included this language on my translation services. In 2014, I have made an important investment on the
quality and reliability of my translations: I acquired
SDL Trados and
attended several training courses. In 2022 I moved forward and also acquired
MemoQ.

Due to my educational/professional background I have specialized in technical translations, such as technical documents, patents and user manuals, related with engineering, technology and industry, within a large variety of applications (machinery, wind energy, appliances, lasers, semiconductors industry, automotive industry, etc.). Among others, I have translated technical documents (from English and German into Portuguese) for the Jensen Group, Synova S.A., hhs Baumer Group, ITM Group, IPAC, Knauf Engineering, Enercon and BMW Group.

My professional experience as a researcher enables me also to undertake a precise and sound research for the correct terms translation, which together with a solid technical/scientific background leads to a reliable and high quality technical translation.

My working programs are SDL Trados Studio 2021, MemoQ, MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe and LaTex.
