English to Italian: Schema audit - parte introduttiva
General field: Bus/Financial
Detailed field: Finance (general)
Source text - English
The XXX audit scheme describes the audit and certification process for XXX franchisees.
The goal of the XXX audit scheme is to ensure that XX franchisees are in compliance with the XXX minimum standard criteria which define consistent service quality, brand protection, high operational performance and impact measurement.
Franchisees which are in compliance with the XXX minimum standard receive the XXX certificate.
Compliance is determined by how well XXX minimum standard criteria are being met. The evaluation process is based on evidence gathering, which is called audit. The audit will be performed on-site to gather evidence through observation and interviews and to check documented processes and procedures. The XXX audit scheme supports continual improvement for franchisees by having audits on annual basis.
XXX franchisees are audited by an external auditor to be in compliance with audit principles stating that auditors must be objective, impartial and independent.

Description of the activity: Visitors will pose for a picture that will depict something very different to the reality in a movie set.
Materials: Horizontal building set with city at the “bottom”, photographic camera, video with cinematographic scenes of (preferably) old movies depicting people “about to fall” from the top of a building (I’m thinking of Hitchcock’s “Vertigo”).
Realization: Visitors will watch a small clip of some movie scenes as described in the Materials section. After that, they will be taken to the horizontal building, where they will simulate to be falling of the building, but actually resting on the side of it. There will be a wall for pictures with the best performances.
Possible reflections about the activity: Cinematographic tricks, the role of the stunts, scenes in movies we think they’re real but they’re not…
English to Italian: Approccio analitico di XXX (Report)
General field: Bus/Financial
Source text - English
XXX is committed to the principle of ‘action evaluation’, which conceives of evaluation not merely as a passive assessment activity, but rather as an intervention driving continuous improvement.

Unlike traditional evaluation, which tends to take place at the end of a project, action evaluation insights are channelled into a project as it progresses, enabling on-the-fly adjustments and improvement. This approach to impact or benefit realisation (rather than just impact or benefit recording) is the hallmark of all of XXX’s evaluation output.

XXX's action evaluation was focused on the following:

We wanted to determine the aspects of YYY that are effective. This will enable YYY to consolidate and build on existing areas of good practice in each of the current YYY sites, as well as understand how the best bits of the YYY model could be replicated and sustained in other cities around the world

Bio

I started as a freelancer after a master's degree in English language and literature and a 10-years experience within international companies, firstly in the textile-manifacturing area, then in the fashion, sportswear (technical apparel and footwear) industry and lastly in the stone-processing field.
I worked in the sales and customer-care departments and as a Sales Executive's assistant (communication, recordkeeping, reports), with a huge amount of translation work (a short selection is in my "projects" section).
My knowledge of business, management and marketing terminology, as well as in the manufacturing/textile/fashion/sportswear areas, is wide, thorough and directly acquired while I was working in the field.
Main projects: assigned translator for a maternity wear line (November 2014 - January 2016), translating marketing materials for the whole collection (items' descriptions, packagings, labelling etc.).
Italian language reviewer for an e-commerce (sport fashion and equipment) site (March 2015 - April 2017)
Translator for a fashion brand site since January 2017.
Assigned translator for a mountaineering items brand since September 2017.
Assigned translator for a retail chain (beauty and home products) since September 2017. Since 2019, collaboration in several transcreation projects, expecially for luxury fashion, sportswear and athleisure brands.
