Source text - Polish Gdy innowacja nie oszczędza czynników, natomiast jest bieżąco czynnikochłonna, powstaje nadwyżka popytu na czynniki przez nią pochłaniane. Przy systemie pieniężnym neutralnym oraz przy elastyczności efektywnych oczekiwań równej jedności wynika z tego kumulacyjny wzrost wszystkich cen z wyjątkiem stóp procentowych, lecz nie prowadzi to do zmniejszenia nadwyżki popytu. Czynniki pochłaniane wskutek wprowadzenia innowacji zaczynają trwale stanowić wąskie gardła w danej gospodarce. Jeżeli system pieniężny jest neutralny, ale oczekiwania oddziaływające na bieżący popyt na czynniki pochłaniane wskutek innowacji lub na ich podaż są elastyczne, albo też jeśli efekt pieniężny jest ujemny, a wpływu jego nie przeważa wysoka nieelastyczność tych oczekiwań, nadwyżka popytu na czynniki stanowiące wąskie gardła wzrasta wraz z ich cenami. Wzrost cen czynników stanowiących wąskie gardłą dooprowadzi do zniknięcia nadwyżki popytu na nie wtedy jedynie, gdy albo oczekiwania wpływające na bieżący popyt na te czynniki lub na ich podaż są nielastyczne, a system pieniężny jest neutralny, albo gdy efekt pieniężny jest dodatni, jego działaniu zaś nie przeciwdziała zbyt silna elastyczność tych oczekiwań. (...) Jeżeli zasięg jakiejś innowacji ogranicza się do małej liczby atomistycznych przedsiębiorstw, jej skutki można analizować za pomocą metody teorii równowagi cząstkowej. Można tak postępować również w wysoce nierealistycznym przypadku, gdy przedsiębiorstwa jakkolwiek nie są ani atomistyczne ani nieliczne, mają do czynienia z funkcjami popytu i podaży zupełnie niezależnymi od cen innych towarów, oraz gdy poza tym ceny zarówno ich wyrobów jak i stosowanych czynników nie mają w ogóle wpływu ani na popyt na żaden inny towar w gospodarce ani na jego podaż.
Translation - English If an innovation does not spare factors, but it is currently factor-consuming, a surplus of demand for factors consumed by it arises. By a neutral monetary system and by a flexibility of effective expectations amounting to one unit, a cumulative increase in all prices, except interest rates, results therefrom, but it does not give rise to decrease in demand surplus. The factors consumed as a result of implementing innovations, permanently begin to constitute bottlenecks in a given economy. If a monetary system is neutral, but expectations which influence a current demand for factors consumed due to innovations or for their supply are flexible, or if a monetary effect is negative and its influence is not exceeded by a high inflexibility of these expectations, a surplus of demand for factors constituting bottlenecks increases together with their prices. Increase in prices of factors constituting bottlenecks will result in vanishing of surplus of demand for them only then, when either expectations influencing a current demand for these factors or their supply are inflexible and a monetary system is neutral, or a monetary effect is positive, while its action is not counteracted by a too strong flexibility of these expectations. (…) If a range of an innovation is limited to a small quantity of atomistic companies, its results can be analyzed by means of the method of partial equilibrium theory. One can also behave in such a way in highly unrealistic case, when companies, no matter how neither atomistic nor few they are, have to do with demand and supply functions which are completely independent of other goods prices and when besides, prices of both their goods and used factors do not have any effect on either demand for any other commodity in economy or its supply.
