Portuguese term

"saberes cotidianos"

Portuguese to English Social Sciences Social Science, Sociology, Ethics, etc.
The text talks about education and the need to "valorizar saberes cotidianos". I believe this is a term used by sociologist Moscovici. Not sure whether it would be "daily knowledge" in English. Suggestions appreciated.
