É de referir que os Riscos Eléctricos são particularmente elevados, nas obras de construção ou na manutenção de instalações eléctricas, onde nas quais podem ocorrer diversas situações de trabalho na proximidade de linhas eléctricas (redes aéreas e redes subterrâneas) em exploração ou na proximidade de outras peças em tensão, nomeadamente:
§ Nos cruzamentos de linhas com outras linhas em tensão de energia eléctrica;
§ Nos pórticos de subestações;
§ Nos trabalhos de construção e outros trabalhos não eléctricos próximos ou no interior das instalações eléctricas.
