Japanese term

実開 (abbreviation)

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Patents utility models
I think this is 'unexamined utility model application publication' but in references such as 実開平12-3456号公報 is there an abbreviated form, rather than 'Japanese unexamined utility model application publication No. H12-3456'?
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

Steven Smith (asker) Jul 29, 2007:
Just to clarify, this is in the prior art section of a patent. There are quite a few and I don't want word clutter if I can avoid it.

Don't know. Judging by the web not a lot but not unique to that one site either.
Note from asker:
Thanks. I wonder how widely used this is.
