But is it more accurate? The fact that it is a more familiar expression doesn't necessarily make it a more accurate translation. I have no personal experience of cosmetic pyramid selling schemes, and "personal volume" sound a bit strange to me, frankly, but on researching the term I find it is absolutely standard in this field and has specific connotations. So it is also with "volumen personal", which may well be a calque (it probably is), but which is also very well established in this particular area and has similar connotations. I think it's a good idea to investigate this rather than just assuming it makes no difference. ¡Saludos!

Yes Charles, of course, we agree, but the subject is that, at least here in Spain, the expression "volumen personal" sounds quite strange, so I would suggest, more acurately "cifra de ventas personales"

Enrique It looks a lot like a pyramid selling scheme to me. For that reason (forgive me for promoting my own answer here!) I think the expression "personal (sales) volume" should be kept, because it seems to have particular connotations in the field of cosmetic sales: one seller receives something from the sales of the seller he or she recruited.
