I'm translating a show where two men are assembling a transmission.
Meanwhile, they talk about a specific part: the mechanical diode (https://www.sonnax.com/parts/437-mechanical-diode)
From what I've searched, here "diode" is a false cognate and doesn't seem to mean "díodo", but I might be wrong.
The word "sprag" also came up a lot on my search, but I don't if they're synonyms.
Can it be a "kit de embraiagem"? (https://www.auto-doc.pt/sachs/1223731)
PT-PT is preferred, but PT-BR is also welcome, as it might help at least understand what's the part.

Como o contexto não é super técnico, é entretenimento, optarei pela resposta do Nick.
O meu único receio com "díodo" era que fosse um decalque, porque só encontro um sinónimo no dicionário, que não corresponde.
