Italian term

communio omnis vitae

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general) Decree of legal separation
I know that this term is Latin, it is in this decree from a court decision on legal separation proceedings.

Is there an equivalent term in English for this? The literal translation appears to be "the communion of all life"

Thanks!

I have gone with Angie's suggestion I decided to leave it in Latin as Angie suggested, thank you for all of your suggestions and comments

Cum Angle !

I agree with Angie - leave it in Latin.

Lawyers often use Latin, sometimes to express concepts that would otherwise be difficult to define, and at other times just as obfuscation.

it means living together in the same house, same residence. I suggest to leave in Latin,

(AmE & BrE marital) consortium

as we "champions of legal clarity" will recall from our ENG family law lectures and from well/publicised ~loss of consortium~ claims, euphemistic for loss of close company.

This Latin expression is not one commonly used in Anglo~Am law and it is risky to suggest it is or will be understood by Anglo/Am lawyers

PS cessazione della communio > termination of consortium> common family law finals question in the UK and USA "how is consortium terminated?".
Example sentence:

IATE> en lifelong union CJUE consortium vitae OBSOLETE CJUE it comunanza di vita

Marital consortium> Law. the legal right of partners in a marriage to companionship and conjugal intercourse with each other: In a wrongful death action the surviving spouse commonly seeks damages for loss of consortium.

Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I thought you liked Latin! Though of course consortium is too.

Consortium is a legalistic term that neither you, nor AB, seem to be familiar with. Anyway, my answer stands for the benefit of offlist and clued~up, rather than clueless, professionals who follow me.

Partnership in the whole of life

Marriage isn't a "consortium" as such, as that implis the involvement of more than two people; a life partnership in every aspect, is the true meaning:
