Glossary entry (derived from question below)
English term or phrase:
well connected and active ***participants***
German translation:
[Bedeutung letztlich unklar, daher vllt semi-wörtlich:] gut vernetzte & aktive Teilnehmer e. solchen gesundheitspolitischen Di.
English term
participants
es geht um Lungenkrebs. Geht das so?
EN:
The involvement of patient organisations in national assessments of disease and policy development can help to build consensus.
In representing patient needs, patient organisations improve decision- making because they can help policy-makers and clinicians understand issues from their perspective.77
However, lung cancer specific patient organisations only exist in some countries we have studied, and where they exist there is significant variation in the roles they play in policy development.77
In some countries they are nascent organisations that are not yet fully established, thus their role is minimal.
In other countries, patient organisations are well connected and active ***participants***, engaging with government stakeholders to increase awareness and actively contribute to policy development.
DE:

Proposed translations
s.u.
Teilnehmer ist hier m. E. völlig in Ordnung. Alternativen wären "Beteiligte" oder "Mitwirkende".
Also "... gut vernetzte und aktive Teilnehmer/Beteiligte am gesundheitspolitischen Dialog"

Akteure
Discussion
Participants in the Swedish workshop suggested that better regional collaboration would improve access to care for lung cancer patients.
...
Where patient organisations exist and are actively involved, such as in Norway and Spain, workshop participants valued their contributions; where they are missing, such as in Austria, participants noted their absence.
Workshop participants in Slovakia and Slovenia noted that more generalised cancer patient organisations exist that focus across cancer types and they make efforts to speak to issues important to people living with lung cancer.
