cognisance stage

debt adjudicatory process

Collins Sansoni: judicial enquiry

In ES: Proceso de cognición > a small-debt 'default-summons' procedure.
Example sentence:

In diritto il processo di cognizione o processo cognitivo può essere definito come quel giudizio in cui il giudice è chiamato ad accertare la situazione di fatto esistente tra le parti in controversia, ad individuare la norma giuridica

Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : there is enough of an uphill struggle here with It-En. Spanish is to Italian what Dutch is to German. Looks similar but often has entirely different meaning

Thanks for your encouragement. But I did not in fact give the 'cognate' Spanish-English 'default summons' translation as my answer, only as a guideline. Perchance you should take issue with the other answers as my example sentence def. refers to a process
