翻译“人民币”的时候要不要加 Yuan?比如 200万人民币 是翻译成 RMB 2million 还是 RMB 2million Yuan?

Thanks, Phil.
agree Kieran Maynard (X) : Right. Make sure to put a space between "2" and "million" and NEVER use both "RMB" and "yuan" at the same time.

CNY

直接用CNY更清楚,国际通用法。 类似于USD, 就不用加单位了
Note from asker:
这个好像用的少啊。我提的两种哪个是正确的呢?
Peer comment(s):

agree Kieran Maynard (X) : This is what I use to avoid confusion. Many people are unfamiliar with the term RMB.

CNY / RMB / yuan / Chinese yuan

They are all used.

In general, use the international abbreviation CNY before the number. In spoken English, use "yuan" after the number.
Example sentence:

They were ordered to pay a fine of CNY 2,000.

The price is 500 yuan.

RMB 2 million

RMB 2 million or 2million yuan. Depending on contexts, RMB 2 million is used in technical papers as it is more formal, where as 2million yuan is used in more informal papers (just like "USD" and "dollars").
