English term

overs

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Printing & Publishing
(...) These realisations spawned a new generation of digital finishing products and systems, starting with the introduction of the X product at Drupa in 2000 – the first automated means of creasing digital output prior to folding.
The blade and matrix creasing method which was patented for the X product– and which has since been used in all its creasing products – ensures a quality finish, unlike scoring which can itself cause damage to the substrate.
Mr. X explains the importance of this, “Take a common enough situation where there is a run of just 100 to be finished. Using old-fashioned methods would naturally involve "OVERS" that could in some cases be as high as 70%, which just cannot be sustained in a digital environment"

merma (overruns)
