I am stuck with the phrase 'en la faz de su competencia' - full sentence: 'Se remiten los presentes actuados para su intervención en la faz de su competencia,'

It's part of an import/export license.

My attempt feels too literal:

'These documents are sent for your intervention in the face of your competence...'

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

"Competence" can be misunderstood as a subjective term (i.e. ability/cleverness). Phil has suggested "remit" and this makes much more sense to me. I don't want to steal your idea Phil, I suggest you post it.

I also wonder if "prerogative" might not also be useful in this context.
