I have been in the translation/interpretation business since 1986 when I did this job part time. Then I studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology that established the first business school in the Czech Republic - the U.S. Business School in Prague. This executive MBA study was full-time and only in English and gave me a huge boost in my career. The subjects were as follows:

Financial Accounting, The Role of the General Manager, Accounting Management and Controls, Microeconomics, International Macroeconomics, Statistics for Managers, Operations Management, Institutional Framework of Competitive Markets, Financial Management, Investments, Marketing Management, Industrial Relations, Business Conditions Analysis, Public Finance, Ethical Issues of Business and Government, Strategic Management.

Thereafter for the next 8 years I was Country Manager of an US IT company for the Czech Rep. and Slovakia. Altogether I worked for 10 years as an IT person (analyst and programmer), 10 years in international business environment and 8 years as a full-time professional translation/interpretation freelancer.

I prefer translations in management, economy, sales, marketing, finance, investments, accounting, enviroment, law, taxation/audit, EU, as well as in some technical disciplines such as ICT, engineering, power egineering, civil engineering, metallurgy, mining, automotive.
